A broken implant screw can make an otherwise healthy implant unusable and may lead to removing the entire implant. Our team offers a specialized option to help retrieve broken abutment screws and preserve the implant when possible.

When a screw fractures, the implant can no longer support a crown or restoration. Retrieving the fragment can help avoid a much larger procedure and the time involved with replacing the implant.

Using high magnification and precision instruments, we create a small access point and carefully work to back out the broken fragment. This technique is designed to minimize trauma while giving the best chance of saving the implant.
